Carmen Negron, PE is an Assistant Resident Engineer with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), overseeing complex transportation infrastructure projects across District 6, which includes Miami Dade and Monroe Counties. With more than 20 years of experience in highway and bridge construction, she plays a key role in delivering major capital improvement projects that enhance safety, mobility, and resilience throughout Florida’s transportation network. 

In her role, Carmen leads multidisciplinary teams through all phases of construction, including contract administration, scheduling, field inspections, and stakeholder coordination. She is recognized for her results driven approach and strong collaboration with contractors, engineers, and local agencies.

Her portfolio includes major initiatives such as Okeechobee 2, a project exceeding $100 million completed in Fall 2025, and Okeechobee 3, a more than $200 million project scheduled for completion in Fall 2029. She has also contributed to advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) deployments that improve traffic efficiency and roadway safety.

Carmen holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida.
